I am a Professor for Computer Graphics at Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts. My job includes

• teaching:
  • Visual Computing Bachelor,
  • Computer Science Bachelor,
  • Visual Computing & Artificial Intelligence Master
  • Data Science Master
  • advising Bachelor, Master, and PhD Thesis.
• researching:
  • Computer Graphics (mostly real-time),
  • Geometry Compression,
  • Graphics Hardware, and
  • Parallel Programming
• organizing:
  • running the Computer Graphics Lab
  • directing Visual Computing Bachelor
  • elected member of the Faculty Board
  • former elected member of the Senate
  • supervising staff

Before being a professor, I mostly worked in industry (Microsoft Research, Elektrobit Automotive GmbH, Siemens AG, and Siemens Healthineers), but also in academia (FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg), and did community service (Klinikum Straubing).

I am the drummer of the Big Band of the Coburg University of Applied Sciences and the Dixie-Land Band “Upper Franconian Oldstars”
